The Sustainable Business Network and City of Philadelphia’s Mayor’s Office of Sustainability are launching a summer-long research project, the Energy Efficiency Demand Study. This project will focus on green jobs demand: What can we do to increase demand for products, services, businesses, and workers that improve the environment? As always, we will take an industry-by-industry approach and start by assessing what we’ve accomplished so far. We will talk with partners in other parts of the country about their efforts to drive demand and implement metropolitan-scale projects.

And what better way to kick off the Study than our second Green Jobs Family Reunion!

Join us to meet the newest Research Fellow, reconnect with colleagues who share your passion for growing the green economy, catch up with Green Economy Task Force Co-Chairs and SBN Members, and meet participants of the Study’s Working Group—from the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, Greater Philadelphia Innovation Cluster, Philadelphia Gas Works, and more. Delicious snacks and drink specials will be provided.

Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia & Green Economy Task Force

The mission of the Sustainable Business Network is to build a just, green, and thriving economy in the Greater Philadelphia region. We accomplish this by educating and growing a broad base of local, independent businesses and educating policymakers and the public.

The Green Economy Task Force is a coalition of concerned citizens, businesses, government officials, organized labor, non-profits, and communities of faith that is working to build an inclusive green economy in the Philadelphia region that benefits our neighborhoods, our working families, and our planet. Convened by SBN in February of 2008, the Task Force has grown to include more than 650 Stakeholders and over 300 organizations.
